Lightroom supports large documents saved in TIFF format (up to 65,000 pixels per side). However, most other applications, including older versions of Photoshop (pre-Photoshop CS), do not support documents with file sizes greater than 2 GB. Lightroom can import 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit TIFF images. TIFF, or Tag Image File Format, is a widely used file format in docHub Photoshop for storing raster graphics and image information. It is a favorite among photographers and graphic designers, as it provides a handy way to store high-quality images before editing, allowing users to avoid lossy file formats.
Click on the image(s) you want to save as a JPEG, TIFF, etc., and then press Command-Shift-E (PC: Ctrl-Shift-E) to bring up the Export dialog you see above (by the way, Lightrooms word for Save is Export, so think of it as though youre exporting your image outside of Lightroom).
Do TIFFs keep RAW data? No. While TIFF is a lossless format, it only stores the processed image. Thats why it has less post-processing flexibility than a RAW file.
