Hi everyone. My name is Kevin. Today I want to show you how you can use mail merge to create address labels. So, what do I mean by that? Well, imagine that you have a list of addresses. So maybe in Excel or in Outlook, you have a list of maybe 30, 50, 60, maybe even hundreds of addresses and you want to print each one of those addresses onto an address label. Well, one way to do that is you could create a new address label sheet in Microsoft Word, and you could go through, and you could copy and paste each address into one of the labels and then you could print it out. But that sounds really painful and thatamp;#39;s also going to take a long time. Today Iamp;#39;m going to show you how you can use mail merge in Word to greatly simplify that task. Go to Mailings Finish Merge Edit Individual Documents to review and update each letter individually before printing. Select File Print to print the letters.
Find and replace text Go to Home Replace. Enter the word or phrase you want to replace in Find what. Enter your new text in Replace with. Choose Replace All to change all occurrences of the word or phrase. To specify only upper or lowercase in your search, select More Match case.
To edit an existing mail merge document: Select Letters Mail Merge Document Maintenance. The Mail Merge Document Search window is displayed. Type search criteria in the search fields and click Find. Select the document you want to edit. Click Edit. Click Edit. Select File Exit. Click Ok.
To later modify the list, follow these steps: Go to Mailings Select Recipients. Select Use an existing list, choose the list you previously created and select Open. Add or edit records in the Edit List Entries dialog box.
Open a new document and go to the Insert tab. Now select Header and decide to either make one or edit an existing one. Customize the letterhead ing to your preferences.
To use a keyboard shortcut to change between lowercase, UPPERCASE, and Capitalize Each Word, select the text and press SHIFT + F3 until the case you want is applied.
How to edit existing simple or conditional mail merge documents Click Edit Merge Document. Make the appropriate changes to the merge document. Click on Add-ins in top menu bar in Word. Click Save and Return to RE7. Proceed to step 9 below.
Right-click the field code that you want to edit, and then click Edit Field. In the Field dialog box, click Field Codes. In the Field codes box, make the changes that you want to the merge field.
