good morning one and all and welcome to the video my name is saw milcha i work as a software engineer in this video i want to talk about elasticsearch i have been working in my company in elasticsearch for about nearly a year or more i have been you know experimenting various things on elasticsearch and you know in this video i would like to explain you how do i change a mapping on a cluster right now this is one of the big challenge right so traditionally in order to if you had to change a mapping in an index the way was you delete the index all the data is gone then you re-upload the data time consuming and takes a lot of effort but with elasticsearch a re-index api this solves the issue and how let me allow me to explain you essentially first what you want to do is you want to create a new and you have to index a right you have an index a now say thereamp;#39;s a thereamp;#39;s a field called created date and itamp;#39;s uh and it has a value or date time object right but that va
