Recover an earlier version of an Office file Open the file you were working on. Go to File Info. Under Manage Workbook or Manage Presentation, select the file labeled (when I closed without saving). In the bar at the top of the file, select Restore to overwrite any previously saved versions.

Another swift way to undo the last action in Excel is to press Ctrl + Z on your keyboard. This is the universal Undo shortcut across many applications, not just Microsoft Excel. Mac users can use the Command + Z shortcut to undo in Excel. To revert a few actions, you can press the Undo shortcut as many times as needed.
In the Review tab, select Show Changes. Changes are shown in the pane with the most recent changes on top, in the order the changes were made. You can see who made edits, exactly where in the workbook, when, and what they changed. You can also see Changes made at once by clicking on See changes in a bulk card.
Open Excel and go to File Info Manage Workbook. Click Recover Unsaved Workbooks and see if your new work was automatically stored there.
If you dont have an Undo icon on your toolbar, you may have accidentally deleted it. To add the Undo icon back, you can click the dropdown arrow at the side of the toolbar and select Customize Quick Access Toolbar. After clicking this option, you can select the Undo option to add the icon back to your toolbar.
To remove duplicate values, click Data Data Tools Remove Duplicates.
To undo an action press Ctrl+Z on your keyboard, or select Undo on the Quick Access Toolbar. You can press Undo (or Ctrl+Z) repeatedly if you want to undo multiple steps.
