But we got stumped by the complicated TTL noodle logic that implements the DRAM controller. We clearly got very different results from our working 9825 that we use as a reference. Both showed the same tic signal that starts the refresh cycle on the yellow trace. But the response to the refresh seemed completely different. In particular, pay attention to the blue Count signal, the one that advances the refresh counter. They look nothing like each other, one is mostly high with short low periods of various length, while the other is mostly low with very short, even length high pulses.
