today I am looking at my Icom 746 Pro and uh this radio suffers from a common problem that many 746 and 746 Pro radio suffer from and that is a inoperative uh backlight uh for the display um the radio is still fully usable um but when you turn the radio on the uh the backlight for the LCD display just doesnamp;#39;t work and you can still kind of read it but uh itamp;#39;s much nicer with the display um active all right so my intentions with this video are just to document and uh kind of show how I go about uh repairing this radio um not intending to um say that this is the only way to do it or the best way to do it or uh even really necessarily teach anybody how to do anything here this is just sort of a a documentation of uh what Iamp;#39;m doing with this radio okay what Iamp;#39;ve got here up on the computer screen is uh ka1 mdaamp;#39;s 746 uh repair backl repair page and you can if you want to visit this page it is uh this is the uh link to it here and uh basically Iamp;#3
