first steps after ACL reconstructions well the first step is rehab you really have to rest and then youamp;#39;re going to start moving because if you can return to activity as quickly as you can the better that your body will get back in shape for majority of the people they will go to the you know go to the PT start doing you know start building the actual feed muscle back which is all okay but it only becomes a problem when there is a fascial related problems for example if there is compensation patterns um then we will weamp;#39;ll start doing the high power Financial Training to address that and of course building through the fascia itamp;#39;s going to give you more results because there are many many cells that are beneficial to healing in the fashion for example hyaluronic acid fibroblasts myofibroblasts these are critical healing cells now if you look at the muscle what does what cells does the muscle have thatamp;#39;s good for healing no

After an ACL reconstruction, up to 14% of patients go on to suffer a graft rupture, an ACL re-rupture [8]. Several risk factors for suffering an ACL re-rupture have been identified, including younger age, high activity level, female sex, and the use of allograft [9,10,11].
Mayo Clinic sports medicine surgeons routinely perform revision surgery for patients who have undergone one or more ACL reconstructions elsewhere, and have published extensively on this topic.
Every surgically reconstructed anterior cruciate ligament can retear. The risk ranges from one or two percent to more than 20 percent. The replacement ligament (graft) chosen for your surgery can docHubly increase or decrease your chance of a retear.
While the procedure is very successful, some patients will have a re-tear of the ACL and tear the reconstructed graft. In these cases, a revision ACL reconstruction is typically recommended by Dr. Jeff Padalecki, Austin, Round Rock, and Cedar Park, Texas communities orthopedic knee surgeon, as an ACL re-tear treatment.
The risk, percentage-wise, of retearing the ACL is about 5%, which puts you at about even with the other knee.
A revision ACL reconstruction is a second surgery needed to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament. ACL revision surgery is a more challenging operation for the orthopedic surgeon than a primary reconstruction.
An ACL injury is most common among athletes they also have a bigger chance of re-tearing their ACL, especially if they fail to follow rehabilitation guidelines, which begin as early as the day of the ACL surgery.
There is no real limit to the amount of times the ACL can be reconstructed. However, each successive surgery may become technically challenging due to bone loss. This requires that your surgeon have expertise in complex revision ACL surgery. How can you tell if you torn your ACL again?
