Restore an earlier version On your computer, open a document, spreadsheet, or presentation. Choose an option: At the top, click File Version history See version history. At the top right, click Last edit . In the right panel, choose an earlier version. At the top, click Restore this version Restore.
Track Changes in Google Docs Open a Google doc. The first thing to do is open the Google Doc file where you want to track changes. Navigate to the version history. Find earlier versions of your draft. Rename earlier drafts. Undo changes. Check the comments thread.
Click the suggestion box, click the text field, write a response, and click Reply. To approve a change, click the checkmark. It will then become part of the document. To reject a change, click the X, and the suggestion will disappear.
Checking the version history will enable you to see the changes contributors have made to your document. In Google Docs, you can view the version history in one of three ways: Click on the File tab at the top left of the document. Then select Version history See version history from the drop-down menu.
Edit with Suggesting Mode Click the Editing mode icon in the upper right. From this menu, you can select one of three modes. Editing mode: Lets you edit the document directly. This is the mode youre in by default. Select Suggesting. Suggest edits by making changes in the document.
To redo an action that youve undone or wish to reapply, click on the forward arrow icon. Alternatively, use the shortcut Ctrl + Y (Command + Y on Mac).
On your computer, open a document at Google Docs. Select the text you want to change. A button appears on the right margin. Click Suggest edits . If you dont find Suggesting. on the toolbar, choose an option: At the top right, click Editing. . From the drop-down, select Suggesting. . Click Request edit access.
