Spell-check your document Open the Google Docs app . Open a document. Tap Edit . In the top right, tap More. Spellcheck. Spelling suggestions will show at the bottom: To use a suggested spelling, tap Change. To ignore a suggestion, tap Ignore. To hide Spellcheck, tap Close .
You dont have to use the spell check option to correct any errors you make. Instead, Google will automatically highlight the words you misspell. To correct it, simply right-click the word and choose one of the suggestions from the menu.
Checking the version history will enable you to see the changes contributors have made to your document. In Google Docs, you can view the version history in one of three ways: Click on the File tab at the top left of the document. Then select Version history See version history from the drop-down menu.
To undo an action, simply click on the backward arrow icon. Alternatively, you can use the shortcut Ctrl + Z (Command + Z on Mac).
Suggest changes to a file Select the text you want to change. A button appears on the right margin. Click Suggest edits . If you dont find Suggesting. on the toolbar, choose an option: At the top right, click Editing. . From the drop-down, select Suggesting. . Click Request edit access.
To see the hidden characters in a Google Docs, Click somewhere in the Doc. Click View. Click Show non-printing characters. Click to Scroll down your Doc to see all of your hidden formatting symbols.
Accessing Revision History in Google Docs If a teacher would like to see which students have worked on a project, and exactly what each student has added, s/he simply needs to click on the File menu at the top of the document and select See revision history.
Go to File Version history See version history. Click the save notice at the top of the document.
