CSV files: To extract email addresses from a CSV file, you can import the file into a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Once the CSV file is imported, you can use Excels built-in functions like Text to Columns to split the data and extract the email addresses.
To create a personalized mass email using a CSV file: Compose a new email in Gmail. Click on the Mail Merge link in the recipients field. Click the Uploading a CSV link. Select a CSV file with your recipients email addresses and data. In the New Message compose window, type the message for your mass email.
Click the Data tab, and select From Text. Find your CSV file stored on your computer, and click Open. In the Text Import Wizard window, be sure Delimited is selected as your file type. In the File origin drop down, select 65001 : Unicode (UTF-8) Check the My Data has headers box. Click the Next button.
Go to Files and click on Open Export Import/Export. After that, click on Export to a File and click Next. In the next window, choose Comma Separated Value (CSV) and click Next. Then, select the emails or the entire email folder and click Next.
