Press Alt+F9 to hide field codes. Locate the broken cross-reference. Right-click the cross-reference link, and then click Update Field.
What To Know Create a document with the text to link to, and save it. Copy the text you want to link to. Place the cursor in the new document. Go to Home Paste Special Paste Link Formatted Text (RTF). Press Ok.
Update a cross-reference Click in the body section of your document (i.e. not the header or footer). Press Ctrl-A to select all paragraphs. Press F9 to update all cross-references. (This will also update other fields in your document, such as the table of contents.)
If you want to cross-reference items that reside in a separate document but dont want to use hyperlinks, youll have to first combine the documents into one master document and then insert the cross-references. A master document is a container for a set of separate files (or subdocuments).
To insert a citation in the text go to the References tab on the ribbon and click on Insert Citation and Add new source. Select the Type of source and fill in the boxes.
Put your cursor at the end of the text you want to cite. Go to References Style, and choose a citation style. Select Insert Citation. Choose Add New Source and fill out the information about your source.
After youve copied the file, start Word on the computer that you want to add the sources to. Click the References tab, click Manage Sources, and then click Browse. Browse to the file that you saved, and then click OK.
Rework or food that is removed from processing with the intention to add it back to the process at a later stage, may contain allergens. If rework is added to a batch that is of a different allergen profile, allergens can be accidentally (and potentially unknowingly) added to a food.
