Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to convert from Excel to comma separated text. Letamp;#39;s open up Excel by clicking on our start button. We go to all programs, letamp;#39;s find Microsoft Office, then weamp;#39;re going to open up Excel. Iamp;#39;m going to basically type some data on here, letamp;#39;s say you got a list of employees. Letamp;#39;s just put some names and their sales and these are really simple spreadsheet. Now we want to save this as a comma separated text file which is a different way of representing data in a spreadsheet. It actually takes it out of Excel format and puts it into a text format. In each of these cells and rows are separated by a comma. This is real good for transferring data between applications because it puts in a very simple format, itamp;#39;s easy to read. So letamp;#39;s save this as a comma separated by clicking on our Office button, go to save as and Iamp;#39;m going to scroll down to the bottom

Comma-separated values (CSV) is a text file format that uses commas to separate values, and newlines to separate records. A CSV file stores tabular data (numbers and text) in plain text, where each line of the file typically represents one data record.
So, follow the steps, below : Place your cursor at the beginning of the text to separate ( I chose the | character as separator ! ) Open the Replace dialog ( CTRL + H ) Set the Regular expression search mode. Uncheck, preferably, the Wrap around option. In the Replace with zone, type the simple regex $0|
Open the Replace dialog Ctrl + H. Type in a single space character, in the Find what: zone. Type in a , character, in the Replace with: zone. Select the Normal search mode. Click on the Replace All button.
Using Excel and Notepad++ Open the Search and Replace Window by typing CTRL+H. First type in \n to the Find what: box and put nothing in Replace with:. Press Replace All. Then type in \r to the Find what: box and put nothing in Replace with: and press Replace All.
How do you make a comma separated list in Notepad ++? Type the first item in the list. And then type a comma and a space. And then type the second item in the list.
Very easy to achieve ! Open your file in Notepad++ Select your long line of words with double-quote delimiters. Open the Replace dialog ( Ctrl + H ) As the Find what : zone is selected with previous contents, replace it with the string ( or the \ string )
Using NotePad++ Open a NotePad++ window. Insert Find and Replace mode. Within the Find What field, enter the following: \r\n. Within the Replace with field, enter a comma.
In the Notepad menu bar click on Edit Replace. Right click on the Find what field and choose Paste from the context menu, or press CTRL+V. This inserts the tab character you copied into the Find what box. In the Replace with field, enter a comma and click on Replace All.
