On the right side of the screen, previous versions of the document are saved in chronological order. Browse different versions until you find what youre looking for. Versions are often grouped together, and you can click the drop-down arrow to expand the group.
Open your desired file. Click File Version history See version history. Click a timestamp to see a previous version of the file.
Restore a file from Google Drive Trash Go to drive.google.com. On the left, click Trash. All your deleted files are listed in Trash. To find out how long ago files were added to the Trash, you can sort files by their Trashed date date. To restore a file: Right-click the file. Click Restore.
To assign a chapter heading, use the Styles menu, which should default to Normal Text unless you change it. Place your cursor next to the text you want to change, and select the appropriate header from the Styles menu. I recommend using Heading 1 for chapter headings and Heading 2 for section breaks or subheadings. Use a custom text style On your computer, open a document in Google Docs. Add some text and style it the way you want using the options found in the top toolbar. Select that text. Click Format. Select Paragraph styles. Choose either Normal text or Heading 1-6. Select Update to match.
