On your Mac, click the fast user switching menu in the menu bar, then choose your user name or icon. The fast user switching menu is in the upper-right corner of the screen and looks like a user icon or shows the name of the current user, depending on the setting in Control Center settings.
Select Users Groups. Select the lock icon (in the lower left corner of the pop-up window), and then enter your password to confirm. On the left, select the user account that you want to modify. Select the checkbox for Allow user to administer this computer, and then select OK to confirm.
Step 1: Restart your Mac. While the startup disc is waking up, hold down the Command+R keys simultaneously. Youre Mac will boot into macOS Recover. Click on Reinstall macOS (or Reinstall OS X where applicable) to reinstall the operating system that came with your Mac.
Lock Screen Click on the name or picture of the user on the lock screen. Choose a different user. Type in the users password or use Touch ID to authenticate.
Heres how to do that on Mac: Go to appleid.apple.com from your browser. Sign in using your Apple ID and password. Click on the Apple ID section in the Sign-In and Security section. Click Change Apple ID. Provide a new email address to use as your Apple ID. Press Continue, and youre good to go!
Keyboard Shortcuts for Fast User Switching Press Control + ⌘ + Q to log out of the current account and return to the login screen, then select a different user account and log in again.
Click Add User to create a new user (you may be asked to enter your password), then choose a type of account. Administrator: An administrator can add and manage other users, apps and change settings. The new user you create when you first set up your Mac is an administrator.
Choose File New Finder Window, then open the Users folder. Press and hold the Option key while dragging the disk image icon for the deleted user from the Desktop into the Users folder. Enter an administrator name and password to proceed. The deleted users home folder is copied to the Users folder.
