Additional Typefaces and Usage While all UT campuses and institutes currently use Goudy and Gotham in some way, these type styles are more specific to UT System communications: Vinyl, a condensed, rounded sans serif display font ideal for large headlines. Shift, a slab-serif typeface. Sharp Grotesk, a sans-serif
Script Pitt may appear on merchandise as a stand-alone mark or combined with a regional campus, school, department, center or institute. The required font to use with Script Pitt is Helvetica Neue Light and must appear centered under the logo.
A note about Victors: The proprietary Victors font, which was developed by Michigan Creative, was specifically optimized for the words University of Michigan; it was not designed for long- form reading and therefore is not available for general use.
Lyon Display and Mrs. Eaves are the recommended primary typeface for UT System communications pieces. Lyon Display is used in our logotype lockup, and helps promote an approachable, stoic and elegant voice.
GT Sectra, a contemporary serif typeface combining the calligraphy of the broad nib pen with the sharpness of the scalpel knife, is used as the font.
Modesto Text is used for the University wordmark.
Fonts used for print UNT has a family of brand fonts, which includes primary fonts docHub Jenson and Helvetica Neue. For those who may not have these fonts available to them, you may use Centaur MT to replace docHub Jenson or Arial to stand in place of Helvetica Neue.
Gentona is the primary workhorse for our communications. A wide display typeface called Obviously performs well as an accent to pair with Gentona or on its own in headlines. Used together, these two typefaces create a clear hierarchy and keep our content legible and engaging.
