To change the names and colors of Final Drafts revision sets, go to Production Revisions Setup Revision Settings (Windows) or Production Revisions (Mac). Overwrite the date placeholder text with the date you want and make any other changes to the revision sets attributes, including page color.

So when you open Final Draft, head up to production. and click revision mode. This turns the script into revision mode. And now everything you type. will cause an asterisk to appear on the side.
