Solution: Add the text/memo field to the report canvas. Select the required text/memo object. Either : Select Format menu - Format Field, or. Right click on the object and select Format Field. In the Format Editor dialog box, click on the Paragraph tab. In the Spacing section: Press the OK button.
To insert a single space between two cells, use the CONCATENATE technique with the operator: =A1 B1. For adding multiple spaces, modify this approach with the REPT function: =A1REPT( ,20)B1. This technique enables control over the number of spaces between two values.
How to edit . RPT files and create new ones. Press the Windows and S keys together. Type Notepad and press Enter. Paste any text into the white area.
Answer: In the Formula Editor, type the following text just after the database field to precede the return: chr(13). For example, a return after the database field {ExportCustom. DeptPo01}:
To use a formula in report: Create a new formula. Open the Field Explorer (Crystal XI: View Field Explorer; Crystal 8.5: Insert Field Object) Right-click on Formula Fields. Select New. Enter a name for the formula. Click OK. Use the Formula Editor to write the formula.
Right click, then choose Edit. You will then see the Formula Workshop dialogue box. You can then change the formula. To delete a formula field, go to the Field Explorer panel.
Drag the bottom of the section up or right-click on the section and select Fit to Section. If there are no fields in the section, right-click and select Suppress (No Drill-Down) Right-click on the section and select Section Expert. Mark the Suppress Blank Section checkbox.
Right click on the formula field, then select Edit. After the plus (+) sign, add open quotation marks, hit the spacebar, then add closing quotation marks. This tells Crystal Reports to add a space.
