Files in CSV format should have the extension . csv. The CRLF character (CR = Carriage Return, LF= Line Feed) is used to separate the individual data sets (rows) (Windows operating systems), i.e. each data set must be followed by a CRLF. The CSV file must end with a CRLF character.
CSV files do not have a signature. Therefore, LEADTOOLS will check the extension of the file name and if it is . csv, then it will automatically use the text filter to load the file.
A CSV file does not require a specific character encoding, byte order, or line terminator format (some software do not support all line-end variations). A record ends at a line terminator.

On a Windows system, a file signature is normally contained within the first 20 bytes of the file. On a Linux system, a file signature is normally contained within the first few bytes of the file.
