SecretBinary. The binary data to encrypt and store in the new version of the secret. We recommend that you store your binary data in a file and then pass the contents of the file as a parameter. Either SecretString or SecretBinary must have a value, but not both.
To update the secret value (console) Open the Secrets Manager console at . From the list of secrets, choose your secret. On the secret details page, on the Overview tab, in the Secret value section, choose Retrieve secret value and then choose Edit.
Secret names can contain 1-512 alphanumeric and /+=. @- characters. (Optional) In the Tags section, add tags to your secret. For tagging strategies, see Tag AWS Secrets Manager secrets.
In the Create|Select AWS Secrets Manager Connection screen connect to the configured AWS Secrets Manager server. In the Specify Secret Details screen, update the secret name and the secret value. In the Update Secret screen, the secret is updated with the specified values in the AWS Secrets Manager.
Change the name of an enrolled account Recover the root password for the account. Sign in to the account with the root password. In the AWS Billing console, navigate to the Account settings page. Change the name in Account settings, as you would for any other AWS account.
Note that you cant change the name or ARN of a secret. To update the description, in the Secrets details section, choose Actions, and then choose Edit description. To update the encryption key, see Change the encryption key for an AWS Secrets Manager secret.
You can revert a secret to a previous version by moving the labels attached to secret versions using the AWS CLI. For information about how Secrets Manager stores versions of secrets, see Secret versions.
