The revision process includes three stages of editing: the structural edit, the copy edit, and proofreading. Structural edit happens at the paragraph level and focuses on the flow of ideas and ensures logic. Copy edit happens at the sentence level and focuses on correcting grammar, punctuation, and style.
Open the document you want to revise. Click on the Tools menu. Click on Track Changes. Begin editing the document, adding or deleting text as necessary.
Try it! Select Review Display for Review. Select the option you want: Simple Markup points out where changes are made with a red line in the margin. All Markup shows all edits with different colors of text and lines. In the Show Markup list, select the types of revisions youd like to see: Comments.
Turn on Track Changes to show edits made in a document, and use Show Markup to show the types of revisions youd like to display. Select Review Track Changes to turn it on. Make edits in your document and Word captures any edits you make. Select Review Track Changes to turn it off.
On the Review tab, click Spelling Grammar. If Word finds a potential error, the Spelling Grammar dialog box will open, spelling errors will be shown as red text, and grammatical errors will be shown as green text. To fix an error, do one of the following: Type the correction in the box and then click Change.
On your computer, open a document at Google Docs. Select the text you want to change. A button appears on the right margin. Click Suggest edits . If you dont find Suggesting. on the toolbar, choose an option: At the top right, click Editing. . From the drop-down, select Suggesting. . Click Request edit access.
To make changes to a document, in the upper-right corner, select Edit Document Edit. If someone else created the document, they might not allow editing. You can go to File Save as, save it with another name, and edit the new document. Or you can ask the document owner to enable editing.
