hi my name is Rocco Desiree and I want to talk about liquidity now most people think of liquidity as the visible coat sizes in the market however here at QB we measure liquidity slightly differently for us liquidity is how much volume it takes to push the prices around and then again Ive given market at any given time by this measure liquid market is a market that takes a lot of volume to push the prices up and down on the other hand and the liquid market is where even a tiny bit of volume can push the prices by a large amount by this measure the quote sizes and liquidity are not necessarily the same especially when were dealing with tightly correlated interconnected markets such as crude oil brand US Treasuries when we have a lot of contracts across the term structure in those markets a lot of volume can be absorbed through the connected contracts and calendar spreads and therefore the quote sizes do not necessarily capture all the liquidity in the market
