Adjust Depth Control in Portrait mode photos Tap any photo taken in Portrait mode to view it in full screen. Tap Edit, then tap. at the top of the screen. A slider appears below the photo. Drag the slider left or right to adjust the background blur effect. Tap Done to save your changes.
Go to Photos and select the image you just took. (This also works with existing photos, so long as they were captured in Portrait Mode.) Tap Edit in the right-hand corner and look for the f button along the top menu.
(NOTE: As a workaround, you can open a photo taken in portrait mode, select the adjustment settings icon and drag the Blur and Depth adjustments to zero to basically revert the image back to one with no portrait effects.)
Unlike Apples premium single-camera model, the iPhone XR, the new iPhone SEs older sensor technology doesnt have enough focus pixels to be able to pull off Portrait Mode without a dual-camera.
To undo the Portrait Lighting effect after you save, tap Edit, then tap Revert to go back to the original lighting. Note: To remove the Portrait effect from a photo, tap Portrait at the top of the screen.
After you take a photo in Portrait mode, you can remove the Portrait mode effect if you dont like it. In the Photos app , open the photo, tap Edit, then tap Portrait to turn the effect on or off.
(NOTE: As a workaround, you can open a photo taken in portrait mode, select the adjustment settings icon and drag the Blur and Depth adjustments to zero to basically revert the image back to one with no portrait effects.)
Portrait mode is available on iPhone SE (2nd generation) and later, iPhone X and later, as well as iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus.
Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen to open Control Center. Tap the Portrait Orientation Lock button to make sure that its off. Turn your iPhone sideways.
