Welcome to MyChart. This might be a new tool for you, or you might have noticed it looks different from a previous version. We've recently updated MyChart's layout and added some features to help you find what's most important to you. Let me show you around. The homepage includes shortcuts so you can easily get to the information you want to see most, such as your upcoming visits, medications, messages and test results. Below the shortcuts is a new feature called the health feed. It shows the most important alerts and information for your care, like a new message from your care team and reminders for an upcoming appointment. You can take action directly from the health feed. For example, you can open a message. And then reply if needed. Or view the details of an upcoming appointment. And add it to your calendar. Get on the wait list or complete check in tasks. If you have MyChart proxy access for a family member or someone else you care for, their alerts are also included in this feed...

What is the easiest way to give a pill to my dog? The easiest way to give your dog a pill is to hide the pill in food. This usually works best if you hide it in a special treat such as a small amount of canned dog food, cooked sweet potato, or a soft dog treat that can be molded around it (i.e., Pill Pockets).
Peanut butter (no xylitol!), butter, deli meats, cheese and bread (no raisins!) all work well to hide medicine. You can also hide some tablets, capsules and liquids by mixing them into canned pet food. Be sure to check that your pet has eaten the medication and didnt spit it out after eating the surrounding food.
Here are some tips: Apply a pill mask made from applesauce or yogurt. This will disguise some medications bitterness and provide some nutritional value. Make a flavored liquid pill dissolver by mixing water with fruit flavors like orange or raspberry juice. Try a pill chew or treat.
Use the middle finger of your right hand to pull open the lower jaw. Keep your middle finger over the small incisor teeth, not the sharp fangs (canine teeth). Drop the pill or capsule as far back over the tongue as possible, then immediately close the mouth and blow on the dogs nose to encourage it to swallow.
If your dog is supposed to take the medication every day at noon and you dont realize you forgot the dose until 2 in the afternoon, its probably okay to give the medicine a bit late. If your dog takes medication every day, something like this bound to happen and shouldnt affect their health too much.
If you miss a dose, the medication can quickly lose its effectiveness which is why its important to check with your veterinarian if you miss giving your pet a dose.
In addition to Pill Pockets, some food items you can use to hide your dogs pills or capsules: Cheese. Spray cheese (Easy Cheese Cheddar n Bacon) Peanut Butter (preferably chunky style to hide pills) Marshmallows (hypoallergenic) Chewable / soft dog treats. Cream Cheese. Hot dogs. Fig Newtons.

Some products have almost no residual activity, meaning that even if they are effective at killing fleas and ticks that are already on your pet, they do almost nothing to prevent new parasites from reestablishing an infestation. In these cases, a missed dose can quickly lead to treatment failure.
