we often have problems in spreadsheets we have phone numbers in the UK because they've got a leading 0 and often when you copy and paste them in where you type them in the 0 gets removed from the front to make sure that the zeros never get removed from the front you can go up to the format for the cell go to number and then change it to plain text and then the zeros won't go change all these cells in a row all you do just click d and go to format a number and then go across to plain text and then you'll find that none of them lose the 0 if you've already got some numbers where the 0 is missing you can set up a another cell by the side and then put in a little formula to change it so what we do here is we type in this formula so it's equals if left left means that we're checking the start of a cell and here we've got d2 so we're looking at this cell here and then we're taking the first character now if that first character is equal to a0 then we know that the number is perfectly fine a...
