It helps to look at the topic sentences of each paragraph so you dont get sidetracked with the details from supporting sentences. If reorganizing still doesnt fix the problem, consider adding a new paragraph or section. Revising isnt just about changing whats already there; its also about adding whats missing.
Replace words and phrases: Delete weak adverbs. Delete redundant words and phrases. Change longer verb phrases into stronger, single-word verbs. Change negative constructions into positive ones. Follow this, that, these, or those with a noun. Use specific nouns and phrases to be precise in meaning.
At a minimum, revising consists of four interconnected, interlocking and circular steps: reading your text. diagnosing problems. generating solutions deciding on what needs to be done and in what order, and. re-writing.
Make judicious use of peer editors. Provide a supportive peer with whom your student can work constructively. Provide very clear goals for the revision process, for example give simple directions to add ideas to make their papers more interesting. Allow students to use word processors for writing.
Revision techniques include flash cards, past papers, mind maps, group work and recording yourself talking then playing it back. Finding what works for you involves trial and error. Bear in mind that what works well for one exam might not work for another.
Training records are evidence that certain people attended certain classes. Typically, training documentation includes the training topic, the name of the instructor, the date, and the trainees name.
Once youve finished revising your paper, its time for the editing stage. If revising is about making big, sweeping changes to the structure and organization of your paper as a whole, editing is about making changes to sentence structure and phrasing.
During revising, you add, cut, move, or change information in order to improve content. During editing, you take a second look at the words and sentences you used to express your ideas and fix any problems in grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
