The paragraph tags are used to define a block of text as a paragraph. This HTML element is one of the basic HTML tags you should learn to use properly.
To do a line break in HTML, use the tag. Simply place the tag wherever you want to force a line break. Since an HTML line break is an empty element, theres no closing tag. Below is an HTML file with a and element.
As in print layout programs, you can add space between paragraphs using margin-bottom or margin-top in your CSS, used below in the paragraph element. Compare the difference between the one without extra space (below, left) to the one with the added margin-bottom between paragraphs (below, right).
An HTML hr tag draw a horizontal line and separate two paragraphs with that line. it will start a new paragraph.
To start a new paragraph in your Web page, you use the p tag. Figure 3.12 Enclose each paragraph in opening and closing p tags.
The tag defines a paragraph. Browsers automatically add a single blank line before and after each element. Tip: Use CSS to style paragraphs.
To use the tag, simply add the tag wherever you want a line break to appear in your code. In the example above, the tag is used to insert a line break between the two lines of text, all within the same element. This is what the text will look like: This is a paragraph.
The HTML align Attribute is used to specify the alignment of paragraph text content.Attribute Values: left: It sets the text left-align. It is a default value. right: It sets the text right-align. center: It sets the text center-align. justify: It stretch the text of paragraph to set the width of all lines equal.
The line break code allows data to be split into multiple lines. Place the line break code within the text at the point(s) you want the line to break. Notice in the examples below that the line break code can be used in data cells as well as in headers.
Change the size and position of a horizontal rule The element is styled with CSS rules instead of attributes. Change the width of the horizontal line by setting the width property and then center it using the margin property.
