Expand or condense the space evenly between all the selected characters Select the text that you want to change. On the Home tab, click the Font Dialog Box Launcher, and then click the Advanced tab. To double-space the whole document, go to Design Paragraph Spacing, and choose Double. Tip: To double-space only part of the document, select the paragraphs you want to change, go to Home Line and Paragraph Spacing, and choose 2.0.
Most revisions appear inline, meaning the text itself is marked. You can also choose to show the revisions in balloons, which moves most revisions to the right margin.
Set automatic spacing between lines of text Select the text you want to change. On the Home tab, click the Paragraph launcher to show the Paragraph dialog box. Click the Indents and Spacing tab. Under Line spacing, in the Between lines box, type or select the amount of spacing you want between lines of text.
Click and drag your cursor through the text that you want to modify, which highlights it. Highlighting the text means that any formatting or editing tools you use are going to affect that section alone. While highlighted, click the Font color button, then the Strikethrough button. This text is now redlined.
Change the line spacing in a portion of the document Select one or more paragraphs to update. Go to Home Line and Paragraph Spacing. Select Line Spacing Options and choose an option in the Line spacing box. Adjust the Before and After settings to change spacing between paragraphs. Select OK.
