Most revisions appear inline, meaning the text itself is marked. You can also choose to show the revisions in balloons, which moves most revisions to the right margin.
Try it! Select Review Display for Review. Select the option you want: Simple Markup points out where changes are made with a red line in the margin. All Markup shows all edits with different colors of text and lines. In the Show Markup list, select the types of revisions youd like to see: Comments.

Click and drag your cursor through the text that you want to modify, which highlights it. Highlighting the text means that any formatting or editing tools you use are going to affect that section alone. While highlighted, click the Font color button, then the Strikethrough button. This text is now redlined.
Press Alt + 9656 to insert the small solid right-pointing triangle. Press Alt + 9666 to insert the small solid left-pointing triangle.
Review changes inline On the Review Tab, select Markup Options. Point to Balloons and select Show All Revisions Inline.
