Select your chart and on the Chart Design tab, choose Select Data. Choose on the legend name you want to change in the Select Data Source dialog box, and select Edit. Type a legend name into the Series name text box, and click OK.
Legends or captions explain figures, tables, or images in the manuscript. As you know, using of figures and tables in research papers serves the purpose of providing illustrative description of the subject matter.
A1: To change a legend name in Excel on Mac, select the legend and then click the Chart Elements button. Then, click the Legend option and select More Legend Options. In the Legend Options window, enter the new name in the Name text box and click OK. This will change the legend name.
On the References tab, in the Captions group, click Insert Caption. In the Label list, select the label that best describes the object, such as a figure or equation. If the list doesnt provide the label you want, click New Label, type the new label in the Label box, and then click OK.
Click the chart, and then click the Chart Design tab. Click Add Chart Element Legend. To change the position of the legend, choose Right, Top, Left, or Bottom. To change the format of the legend, click More Legend Options, and then make the format changes that you want.
Edit legend entries on the worksheet On the worksheet, click the cell that contains the name of the data series that appears as an entry in the chart legend. Type the new name, and then press ENTER. The new name automatically appears in the legend on the chart.
On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Double-click the chart you want to change. At the right, click Customize. Legend. To customize your legend, you can change the position, font, style, and color.
Follow these steps to use the Select Data tab to rename your legend: Select the chart. Find the Design tab. Click Select Data. In the Design toolbar, look for the Select Data icon, which has a spreadsheet with a picture of a graph in front of it. Select the legend name. Edit the name. Check your chart.
