A: revision means the payment method was unsuccessful either card is close to expiration date or insufficient funds on card.
We do it to confirm your card has a valid number and hasnt been reported lost or stolen. This type of authorization may appear when: You sign into your account after a long absence. A new subscription or membership is started (such as Amazon Prime).
The Revise Payment option could appear due to the following reasons: Your payment failed and the transaction wasnt completed. The bank declined your payment. You accidentally closed or refreshed the page or pressed the backspace button while the transaction was being processed by your bank.
If your payment declines, Amazon will ask you to revise the payment method and give you 12 hours. But, if after 12 hours you fail to pay, then Amazon will cancel your order. How long does Amazon wait for a payment revision? Amazon waits 12 hours for a pay revision.
Have you exceeded your credit limit? Did you enter your credit card number, credit card expiration date, billing address, and phone number correctly in Your Account? Is your purchase outside of your normal spending range? Some banks will block transactions due to security concerns.
Keeping your payment methods up to date prevents purchase interruptions. Outdated payment methods or expired cards will result in payment errors while placing an order. You need to update your payment method when notified for incomplete purchase or declined payments. Go to Manage Your Content and Devices.
Revisions will be made for minor additions, deletions or changes of information. New issues or re-issues will be made when major changes in scope or in the text occur.
