Contents. Metadata has the power to simplify many of our difficult digital tasks, but its not always so easy to edit it, especially en masse. Fortunately, there are some powerful software systems designed to alleviate the pressure of metadata editing and make it easy.
Yes, you can remove the metadata. Different programs and software can work with specific files or with certain information in the metadata. Metadata is an essential part of data, so that, if the image you share must have detailed data, you must edit the metadata in advance.
This metadata, known more specifically as EXIF data for images, contains descriptive information that makes each image unique. That includes the creation date, camera information and settings and your location. This information allows apps to quickly identify photos and organize them.
Right click the thumbnail of any photo (or, if the photo is open, right click it)and select Get Info. A window opens, showing the file name and format (e.g. IMG2271. jpg), camera data, and profile photos of people that Photos recognizes. You can edit title, description, keywords and location (Not date).
EXIF information includes the photos image size, the date and time it was taken, and the type of camera used, as well as important exposure information, such as the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO speed.
Google Photos suggests edit options based on the type of photo you want to edit, that you can apply with one tap. Open the photo you want to edit and tap Edit . To apply a suggested edit, tap the suggestion name. To undo changes, tap the suggested edit option again. When you are finished, tap Save.
