in this video im going to show you how to differentiate the different types of white blood cells and then im going to give you a chance to practice identifying them so there are two groups of white blood cells there are granulocytes and a granulocytes the granulocytes are neutrophils eosinophils and basophils so they all end with phil and the a granulocytes are lymphocytes and mono sites so theres a couple things you can look at to tell them all apart you can look at the size so to determine how big it is you just want to compare it to the red blood cells around it so just picture how many red blood cells could i put inside of each white blood cell so for example the neutrophil i would say i could fit two to three red blood cells inside the eosinophil and basophil are both about the same size two to three times the size of a red blood cell the lymphocyte so the nucleus is usually about the size of one red blood cell so thats about one red blood cell and that usually stays the same
