You can see the cursor blinking in that. Lets say we want to setup specific margins. First to actually see what the margins are set to you want to go to the Sidebar here. Go to Document. Then in the document area of the Sidebar you can find Document Margins. You can see here they are set to one inch all the way around, top, bottom, left, right. Now if you actually want to see the margins on the page we can. We can actually do that one of two ways. The first way is to go to View and lets Show Ruler. This will show the ruler here at the top of the page. Im going to zoom out a little bit to 75%.

Add borders and rules (lines) in Pages on Mac Click the line or paragraph (or select multiple paragraphs) where you want to add the border or rule. In the Format sidebar, click the Layout button near the top. Click the pop-up menu next to Borders Rules, then choose a line type (solid, dashed, or dotted).
How do you put a frame around a picture in pages? You will need to add a shape, drag the shape to resize, click the style button in the sidebar, click the fill bar to see the drop-down menu and select no fill, choose lines in the border button, and go to arrange button to set the text wrap to none.
Change cell borders: In the Border section of the sidebar, click a border layout button below Border to choose which borders you want to format. Click the Border Styles pop-up menu, then choose a border style. Or use the controls below the menu to define your own style.
Select the paragraphs you want to add the border or rule to. In the Text pane of the Format inspector, click the Layout button. Click the disclosure triangle next to Borders Rules. Choose a line type from the pop-up menu, then click the arrows in the topmost value field to adjust the thickness of the line.
Add and change an objects border Select an object. In the Style pane of the Format inspector, click the disclosure triangle next to Border, then choose a type of border from the pop-up menu. Use the controls to adjust the borders appearance (options vary depending on the type of border you choose).
Add a border around the selected cells: Click Cell at the top of the Format sidebar on the right, then below Border, click the image that shows the borders you want to add. Click the pop-up menus to choose the border thickness and style; to change the color, click the color well.
Click a shape or text box to select it, or select multiple objects. In the Format sidebar, click the Style tab. Choose one of the following: A color or gradient designed to go with the template: Click the color well next to Fill, then choose a color or gradient.
