Answer: In general, revisions numbers / versions 1 and 2 are for little changes and things in work, while revision letters are for major, released changes. When you make major changes, issue a formal revision letter change for the new drawing.
The term Drawing Revision refers to modifications that are made to a drawing after it has been signed and issued. The first revision to a drawing takes place after the initial issue of the drawing is signed and released for bid or construction.
The CO revision block shall include: an identifying number, short description of the revision, the initials of the person making, checking, and detailing the change, the date the CO is to be transmitted to Structure Construction, and the Project Engineers signature/stamp.
Revision control for manufacturing companies is managed through engineering changes, which are also known as engineering change orders (ECOs). Revisions are used to manage pending and released changes to parts, assemblies, software, drawings, and other documents.
Whether it is a design change or even a mistake made. The revision part of the title block refers to these changes. Each time a change is made and submitted to council, builders, building surveyors, engineers etc. a revision letter is marked in this area.
Add revision marks in drawings Open a drawing that has a revision created in Document manager. On the Annotations tab, click Revision mark and select one of the following commands: In the revision Mark list on the right, select another revision number first and then switch to the revision you are documenting.
When a drawing is first issued, it is called revision zero or dash (-), and the revision block is empty. As each revision is made to the drawing, an entry is placed in the revision block. This entry will provide the revision number, a title or summary of the revision, and the date of the revision.
The term Drawing Revision refers to modifications that are made to a drawing after it has been signed and issued. The first revision to a drawing takes place after the initial issue of the drawing is signed and released for bid or construction.
