Screenplay editing is the process of reviewing and revising a script for a film, television show, or stage play. It involves correcting grammar and formatting errors, improving the flow and pacing of the story, and making suggestions for changes to characters and dialogue.
The script color order often starts with white, which is almost always the very first draft. After white usually comes blue, pink, yellow, and green; after these, your colors start becoming more unique, with Goldenrod, Buff, Salmon, and Cherry.

How to Proofread Your Script If you changed a character name, make sure the old name is gone. Double check any montage sequences for readability. If you did a Find Replace in Final Draft, it doesnt always correct words that are in Dual Dialogue mode. Catch sneaky mistakes by reading your script out loud.
To give you an idea of the screenplay revision tips Im going to cover, heres a list: Show once, dont tell. Begin a scene with motion. Be careful with quirks. Exit at the high point. Embrace the interjection. Setup isnt always critical. Everyone gets a turn. Reevaluate your flashbacks.
Go to Edit Select All; Go to Production Clear Revised.
Revision Mode features multiple sets, which you can think of as sort of similar to version numbers. If your locked script is version 1.0, then blue revisions would be version 1.1; any changes that are made by the heads of production or other members of the team would be implemented in blue revisions.
Revising or editing a script actually means many different things. At its most obvious, it means making changes that make your story flow better, your dialogue sound better, and your characters . . . well . . . be better.
