Data becomes information through the process of analysis and interpretation. Raw data, such as numbers or text, is processed and analyzed to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships. This analysis transforms the data into meaningful information that can be used to make informed decisions.
Replace number, date/time, or logical values To open a query, locate one previously loaded from the Power Query Editor, select a cell in the data, and then select Query Edit.
To edit table data: Expand nodes in the Databases tab tree under the connection node until you find the table, Double-click on the table node to open its Object View tab, Open the Data sub-tab. Edit column values directly in the grid, add and remove rows by clicking on the buttons in the toolbar,
To update a specific query, right-click the query name in the Queries Connections pane and select Refresh.
Select Data Connections Properties Queries tab, right click the query, and then select Edit. When finished making changes in the Power Query Editor, select File Close Load.
You can always edit the data in a query when the query is based on either only one table or on two tables that bear a one-to-one relationship to each other. Note: Even when you can edit data in a query, some of its fields may not be available for editing. Such cases are listed in the following section.
To change a data source, select it, select Data Source, and then make changes in the dialog box for that data source. This is the same dialog box you see when you first imported the data. Each kind of data source has a different dialog box.
This is typically done through commands such as UPDATE, DELETE, and INSERT, which allow you to modify, remove, or add records to your database tables, respectively. It is essential to apply proper conditions and constraints while modifying data to prevent unintended changes or data loss.
