[Applause] hi iamp;#39;m officer aaron howard iamp;#39;m with the wichita police department iamp;#39;d like to tell you a little bit how weamp;#39;re using technology to solve crime in our area i usually pull up the data weekly with geocrimes and it just helps us sort out incidents that have happened in our specific bureaus for example when i pull up geocrimes iamp;#39;ll look up part one offenses like assaults robberies larcenies uh things of that and itamp;#39;ll pull up whatamp;#39;s happened that week and then i can go through each of the crimes that i want to to see exactly what happened and if i can find any patterns or not we pulled up larcenies to autos and we did a hot spot analysis which just means itamp;#39;s going to pull up all the incidences and if thereamp;#39;s a bigger cluster of incidences then itamp;#39;s going to show it in red on the map looked up each of the incidents in that location was able to determine that there was a pattern made up a flyer
