well alright this is an attempt to demystify logarithms really quickly using something called the circle of logs and Ive actually not seen this in a text book but a colleague of mine showed me this and I thought it was that was great that was brilliant so what were talking about if we have a logarithm so like lets say we have a log base I dont know three of 70 and that equals x lets say we can talk about a lot of things with this we could talk about the change of base formula to actually figure out what this is but just into converting this into an exponential function is kind of difficult for some students seeing what this actually is doing and using the circle of logs we can we can see that so if I wanted to convert this into an exponential function now this now will do it i look at the base first of the base is right here this smaller one so its this and i kind of draw this circle with arrows all right this is where the circle part comes from kind of goes like this so three to

The Logarithm Rules can be used in reverse, though! Observe that by using the Quotient Rule reversed, the log expression may be written as a single logarithmic number. We did it! By applying the rules in reverse, we generated a single log expression that is easily solvable.
Answer and Explanation: The inverse of log10 (x), denoted log(x), is 10x. In general, we have the following rule regarding the inverse function of a logarithmic function. If f(x) = logb (x), then f-1 (x) = bx.
1) Multiplication inside the log can be turned into addition outside the log, and vice versa. 2) Division inside the log can be turned into subtraction outside the log, and vice versa. 3) An exponent on everything inside a log can be moved out front as a multiplier, and vice versa.
We know that the inverse of a log function is an exponential. So, we know that the inverse of f(x) = log subb(x) is f^-1(y) = b^y. If the base is e and we are dealing with the natural log, then the inverse of f(x) = ln(x) is f^-1(y) = e^y.
You can convert the log values to normal values by raising 10 to the power the log values (you want to convert). For instance if you have 0.30103 as the log value and want to get the normal value, you will have: 10^0.30103 and the result will be the normal value.

The names of these rules are: Product rule. Division rule. Power rule/Exponential Rule. Change of base rule. Base switch rule. Derivative of log. Integral of log.
