How long is ANCC certification good for?

ANCC certification is renewed every 5 years to provide evidence of the expansion of professional knowledge and evidence of continued competence in your certification specialty.

What is the pass rate for ANCC?

ANCC: In 2023, the average pass rate for the FNP exam was 85%. AANP: In 2022, the average pass rate for the FNP exam was 74%. Key Takeaway: Many examinees make the mistake of not adequately preparing for the difficulty found in these exams as demonstrated by the pass rates.

What happens if you dont pass NP boards?

If you fail the AANP FNP certification exam, you can retake the exam after a 60-day waiting period.

How many times can you take the ANCC exam?

If you do not pass a certification exam, you may apply to retest after 60 days. Applicants may not test more than 3 times in any 12 months. Please wait 5 days after examination to submit a retest application online.

What percent do you need to pass ANCC?

Scores on ANCC examinations are reported on a scale with a maximum possible score of 500. To pass the ANCC examination, an examinee must achieve a scale score of 350 or higher.

What happens if you fail the ANCC?

If you do not pass the examination you may apply to retest after 60 days from the date you last tested. You may not test more than three times in any 12-month period.
