hello today Iamp;#39;m going to show you how you can convert a binary certificate into a text file double-click your certificate to open it click the details tab to open the certificate export wizard click copy to file on the welcome page click Next from the format list select base64-encoded and then click Next specify a file name and then click Next click finish now you can use for example notepad to access your certificates data

p12 file is for the client, while the . cer file is for the server in order for it to be able to verify the certificate(s) sent by the client.

Use the following command to convert a base64-encoded .cer file to a .pem format file: Syntax: openssl x509 -in -outform pem -out Example: openssl x509 -in C:\Certificates\AnyCert.cer -outform pem -out C:\Certificates\AnyCertInPem.pem.
Change Certificate Format Using OpenSSL Convert PEM to DER: You can convert the PEM certificate file format to DER by using the command below: Convert PEM to P7B. You can convert the PEM certificate file format to P7B by using the command below: Note: -certfile CAcert. Convert PEM to PFX.
