Basically, to reset your Authenticator app, you need to follow these steps with the admin credentials: Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and sign in with your admin credentials. Click on Users Active users. Select your user account and click on Reset multi-factor authentication under More settings.
In the Accounts screen of Authenticator, tap the account you want to recover to open the full screen view of the account. Tap the tile for the account youre recovering and then tap the option to sign in to recover. Enter your password and then confirm your email address or phone number as additional verification.
Steps To Change Authenticator Verification Method: Select Security Info in the left navigation pane. Click Change next to Default sign-in method in the right pane. Select Authenticator app or hardware - code in the Change default method pull-down menu. Click Confirm to commit the change. (
Add a new account to the Microsoft authenticator app Go to the Security info page using the steps above. Select Add sign-in method. Select Choose a method and then Authenticator app. Follow the on-screen instructions, including using your mobile device to scan the QR code, and then select Next. Select Save.
To troubleshoot login issues with Microsoft services, follow these steps: Double-check your username and password. Its easy to make a typo. Reset your password if you cant log in. Clear your browser cache and cookies. Disable browser extensions. docHub out to Microsoft support if needed.
