If the overwritten files are in Time Machine backup, you can select them and click Restore to retrieve the old versions of overwritten files. The selected files (which were replaced on Mac) will be restored from the Time Machine backup to the original location on your Mac computer.
Navigate to the folder where the desired file was previously stored. Right-click and select Properties. From the box that pops up, select the Previous Versions tab. Locate and select the file you wish to recover and press Restore.
If you havent saved the file Go to File Info Manage Document Recover Unsaved Documents. Select the file, and then select Open. In the bar at the top of the file, select Save As to save the file.
