Change settings for Workbook Links In Excel, click the File tab. Click Options Trust Center Trust Center Settings, and then click External Content. Click the option that you want under Security settings for Workbook Links:
Create a link to a web page On a worksheet, select the cell where you want to create a link. On the Insert tab, select Hyperlink. Under Display Text:, type the text that you want to use to represent the link. Under URL:, type the complete Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of the webpage you want to link to. Select OK.
Get the URL for a PDF, Word document, Excel Spreadsheet, or PowerPoint presentation stored in the Library Click Library. Click Images and Documents. Click Documents. Find the document you want and click the Edit icon. The URL for the document is highlighted. Click Copy. Click Cancel or Save to return to the Library.
Fix a broken link Open the workbook that contains the broken link. On the Data tab, click Edit Links. In the Source file box, select the broken link that you want to fix. Click Change Source. Browse to the location of the file containing the linked data. Select the new source file, and then click Change Source.
Select the text or picture that you want to display as a hyperlink. Press Ctrl+K. You can also right-click the text or picture and click Link on the shortcut menu.
Open Excel Workbook -Go to File-Options-Advanced. Scroll down to find the General tab and click on Web Options. Web Options Window pops-up. On Web Options, pop-up, Click on Files and select the Update Links on save checkbox.
Find and fix broken links in Excel On the Data tab, in the Queries Connections group, click the Edit Links button. In the Edit Links dialog box, you can see a list of all external sources that your current workbook is referring to. When the information gets updated, review the status of each link.
To activate a hyperlink in Excel, first select the cell that contains the hyperlink. Then, click the Insert tab on the ribbon. In the Links group, click Hyperlink.
