So, a trademark registration, once its granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, will last for five years before any other filing is due. That being said, at any point, if you shut down your business or stop offering your goods or services, from a legal perspective, the trademark is abandoned. So, if somebody wanted to come back and cancel your registration based on grounds youre no longer using it, they would be able to do so before that initial filing is due five years after your registration is granted.
