A text file (sometimes spelled textfile; an old alternative name is flatfile) is a kind of computer file that is structured as a sequence of lines of electronic text. A text file exists stored as data within a computer file system.
In History view, click Compare to another version, and drag the handles to compare two versions before and after the file was deleted. Select the deleted file from the list of files on the left hand side (it will be crossed out). Click on the Restore this deleted file option that appears on top.
Right-click on the corrupted . tex file and select Restore previous versions. The file restores to the last version. Run that file.
To restore an old version of your project, you should open the History panel, then click on the version of the project youd like to restore from the list of timestamps or labels to the right.
In the Preview window press the small left facing black arrow. That takes you back to your previous location. Then Cmd-Click to take you back to that location in your Source window.
