With the lastest Canvas update, the text will save a draft of the content prior to you submitting the work. You will want to make sure there is the Draft Saved message near the submit assignment button before navigating away from the page.

By default, students always have the option to resubmit their Canvas assignments, even after the Due date. However if a student resubmits, they lose all access to any earlier submissions they have made including access to feedback the instructor may have provided.
When you delete a piece of data from your device a photo, video, text or document it doesnt vanish. Instead, your device labels that space as available to be overwritten by new information.
In Canvas, deleted pages, files, and announcements can be recovered by typing /undelete after your course URL. This will bring up a Restore Deleted Items page, which will include a list of recent restorable items.
Often times you can press ctrl + z to undo your previous action. Also, Frank, ctrl + x is cut and ctrl + c is copy.
Restoring a course uploads the archive package into Blackboard Learn in the same state that it was in at the time it was archived.Restore a course On the Administrator Panel in the Courses section, select Courses. Search for a course. Point to Create Course and select Restore. Select Submit.
To recover missing or deleted content in Canvas: From within the relevant Canvas course, find the course ID in your browsers URL bar.Recover missing, deleted, or overwritten content in Canvas Press Enter . Click Restore next to the appropriate item(s). Click OK. Your item(s) should now be restored.
The following steps can be taken to restore content: Navigate to the home page of the Canvas course in question. Add /undelete to the link and press enter (Navigating to that link). You will see a list of Canvas content that can be restored. Click the restore button for the content you wish to restore.
If you have manually backed up your Android phones or enabled automatic backup, you can see the deleted text messages by restoring the backup. These phones are backed up on Google One. To access this backup, you have to use Google Drive.
