Why do my text messages disappear on Android? There a number of reasons that may cause the issue. It can be an accidental deletion or loss, recent app updates that affect your text messages, date and time setting in your phone is not updated, Android system or app version that needs an update, and many others.
Open the Messages tab. Create a backup of your messages. Disconnect the phone, and connect the new Android device. Choose which messages to transfer from the backup to the phone.
Yes they can, so if youve been having an affair or doing something dodgy at work, beware! Messages are laid out on the SIM card as data files. When you move messages around or delete them, the data actually stays put.
Fortunately thats now been simplified thanks to iOS 16. Instead of dealing with restoring a backup, you can now find the deleted texts on your device and recover them into the Messages app with just a few taps.
Go to Settings General iPhone Storage to check if there is enough storage to load all your messages on the new iPhone. Check if your WiFi connection is stable since iMessage will be sent by WiFi, or you can go to Settings to Reset Network Settings. Go to Settings Messages Toggle off iMessage then turn back on.
Use Messages in iCloud When you turn on Messages in iCloud, every message you send and receive on your iPhone is saved in iCloud. And, when you sign in with the same Apple ID on a new device that also has Messages in iCloud turned on, all your conversations show up there automatically.
To do this, go to Settings General Reset Erase all content and settings. Enter your Apple ID and password when prompted to complete the process. Youll now see that your old message conversations are accessible within the Messages app on your new iPhone!
If you accidentally deleted iMessage but have no backup file, you can use PhoneRescue for iOS to get iMessage back on your iPhone. Supports all iPhones, including iPhone 13.
Tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner and open the Recycle bin. Check your deleted text messages. Long tap the message you want to retrieve. Select Restore at the bottom and check the same in your primary inbox.
