Restoring a table from a backup (console) In the navigation pane on the left side of the console, choose Backups. In the list of backups, choose MusicBackup . Choose Restore. Enter Music as the new table name. Confirm the backup name and other backup details. Then choose Restore table to start the restore process.
To restore your Amazon S3 data using the AWS Backup console: In the Backups pane, choose the recovery point ID of the resource. In the upper-right corner of the pane, choose Restore. (Alternatively, you can go to the backup vault, find the recovery point, and then click Actions then click Restore.)
When you perform a point-in-time recovery of a DynamoDB table, the restore process takes at least 20 minutes irrespective of the size of the table. This is because after you restore, DynamoDB needs time to provision all resources to create the new table and initiate the restore process to copy the actual data.
In the AWS Backup console, navigate to Protected Resources. Select the Protected Resource ID that you want to restore. On the Resource details page, select the Recovery point ID you want to perform the VM restore from, and then select the Restore button.
It isn't possible to restore or recover a deleted or deregistered AMI. However, you can create a new, identical AMI using one of the following: Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) snapshots that were created as backups. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances that were launched from the deleted AMI.
To restore a resource, in the Backups pane, choose the radio button next to the recovery point ID of the resource. In the upper-right corner of the pane, choose Restore. Specify the restore parameters. The restore parameters shown are specific to the resource type that is selected.
To export a DynamoDB table, you use the AWS Data Pipeline console to create a new pipeline. The pipeline launches an Amazon EMR cluster to perform the actual export. Amazon EMR reads the data from DynamoDB, and writes the data to an export file in an Amazon S3 bucket.
To view deleted AMIs in the Recycle Bin using the AWS CLI Use the list-images-in-recycle-bin AWS CLI command. To view specific AMIs, include the --image-id option and specify the IDs of the AMIs to view. You can specify up to 20 IDs in a single request.
You can deregister an AMI when you have finished using it. After you deregister an AMI, you can't use it to launch new instances. When you deregister an AMI, it doesn't affect any instances that you've already launched from the AMI or any snapshots created during the AMI creation process.
To restore a resource, in the Backups pane, choose the radio button next to the recovery point ID of the resource. In the upper-right corner of the pane, choose Restore. Specify the restore parameters. The restore parameters shown are specific to the resource type that is selected.
