On the Home tab, in the Styles group, right-click the style that you want to change, and then click Update [Style Name] to Match Selection. Note: All text with the style that you changed will automatically change to match the new style that you defined.
Apply styles Select the text you want to format. Tip: If you place your cursor in a paragraph, the style is applied to the whole paragraph. On the Home tab, point to a style to preview it. If you dont see a style you want, click the More button. Select a style.
Go to the Home tab and click on the small launcher arrow in the lower right-hand corner of the font section to go to the Font dialog box. Select +Body and the size text you want, then click Set as Default in the lower left-hand corner.
Save styles as a new Quick Style set Create new styles or change the styles in a Quick Style set. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, click Change Styles, and then point to Style Set. Click Save as Quick Style Set. In the Save Quick Style Set dialog box, type a name for your new Quick Style set, and then click Save.
Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S or click the dialog launcher (the little arrow in the bottom right corner of the Styles group on the Home tab) to open the Styles pane. Click the Manage Styles button (third button from the left at the bottom of the Styles pane).
Remove Styles from Text in Word: Overview The first way to remove style formatting is to select the text from which you want to remove the formatting. Then, click the More button in the Styles button group on the Home tab of the Ribbon. Then choose the Clear Formatting command from the drop-down list.
If the style is based on an underlying style, then you can only revert the style. This means that all the text that uses the style you are deleting is changed to the underlying style for the style you are deleting.
Click the Reapply or Apply button to apply the selected style to your document. To modify a selected style, click the Modify button in the Apply Styles pane. To open the Styles pane, click the Styles button. Note that the first time you open the Apply Styles pane, it appears floating over the work area.
