Mix one tablespoon of liquid hand dishwashing detergent with two cups of cool water. Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with the detergent solution. Blot until the liquid is absorbed. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the stain disappears. Sponge with cold water and blot dry.
To fix this, soak the discolored stuff in a sink filled with water and bleach (10 parts water to 1 part bleach) or OxiClean (read the label for the amount). Check every 15 minutes or so and remove when white; 90 minutes should be more than enough. Then machine wash.
Heat can set stains permanently. Once you toss the item into the dryer, the stain is set for good. If the stain remains after the first wash, pre-treat and wash again before drying to try and remove the stain.
Rubbing alcohol, hand sanitiser, hairspray, nail polish remover, or non-gel toothpaste can all be used to remove permanent marker from everyday fabric items like clothes, pillows, or bedsheets. So, before dumping your permanent marker-stained clothes in the bin, try wiping the stain with an alcohol-based hairspray.
Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with a small amount of plain water or detergent/vinegar solution. Apply a little bit at a time, blotting frequently with a dry cloth until the stain disappears. 4. If using a detergent/vinegar solution, sponge with cold water and blot dry to remove the solution.
But for these 8 hardest and stubborn stains to remove, you would be needing more than that to get rid of them. Hot Cocoa. ... Poop. ... Blood. ... Permanent Marker. ... Tomato Sauce. ... Grass Stains. ... Red Wine. ... Chocolate.
Douse the stain with white vinegar, then apply a paste made of equal parts baking soda and vinegar. If this doesn't work, immerse the item overnight in a bucket of water containing a few tablespoons of detergent and vinegar. Rinse and wash the following morning.
Instructions Mix 1/4 scoop of powder with 3/4 scoop of water (max 40°) into a paste. Gently rub stain as required using the knobbly base of the scoop and leave for a maximum of 5 minutes. Dissolve 1x scoop of Vanish Powder in 4L of warm water (max 40°) and soak the shirt in the solution for a maximum of six hours.
Sponge or soak stain in cool water. Pretreat with prewash stain remover, liquid laundry detergent, liquid detergent booster or paste of powder laundry product and water. Launder using sodium hypochlorite bleach, if safe for fabric, or oxygen bleach.
Soak in a solution of 1 quart warm water, 1/2 teaspoon detergent and 1 tablespoon white vinegar for 15 minutes. Rinse with water. If stain remains, sponge with rubbing alcohol, rinse thoroughly and launder.
